Whittier Cuisine

December 10, 2009

When you are looking at properties for sale, be sure to check into the local cuisine. Living near favorite restaurants is essential for those impromptu dinners out and spur of the moment lunch meetings. If you are new to Whittier, ask your realtor for a restaurant recommendation. Or better yet, explore on your own.

For American cuisine, go to Mimo’s on Greenleaf Avenue. Their varied menu includes burgers, sandwiches and Mexican food plus some pretty amazing desserts. If you are in the mood for pizza, Barro’s rates high with Whittier residents and visitors. Chunky toppings and garden fresh vegetables make for many delightful gourmet combinations. Whittier’s Seafare Inn is centrally located on Whittier Boulevard for top quality seafood at reasonable prices. For a bit more exotic cuisine, Uptown Kabob creates healthy, Mediterranean fare, featuring lamb, beef and chicken kabobs plus selections for the vegetarian, too. Located in Whittier Uptown Village on Greenleaf Avenue, this restaurant is great for that last-minute gourmand adventure as no reservations are required.

Whittier has many more restaurants for your dining pleasure–certainly an indication of a superior place to live!
